The Cougar varsity golf team hosted Northside and Cave Spring at the Draper Valley Golf Course Monday in their first match of the season. The result was a big win for the Cougars.PCHS logo

Pulaski County golfers took first place overall with a low score of 327. Freshman Even Singleton took top honors with a score of 77, recording a 36 on the back nine. Keaton Jones scored an 80. Johnny Anderson ended the day with an 84. Will Rackaway scored an 86. Thatcher Singleton and Mikey Gonzalez each recorded an 88.

Cave Spring finished second overall with a 333. Rio Rupert came in at 79. Andrew McAfee had an 81. Ben Fradette scored an 86. Kendall West recorded an 87.

Northside finished the day in third with a score of 351. Ryland Stump scored an 83. Camden Spangler finished at 87. Justin Tucker finished with an 89. Preston Driscoll scored a 92.

The Cougars are scheduled to be back in action Monday, August 12, at the Blacksburg Cougar Club. Match time is set for noon.
