Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins

While it has long been known that Pulaski County theatre arts and other fine arts students are incredible at what they do, many of those students have now taken time out of their summer to assist a group with a summer performance at the Moss Fine Arts Center in Blacksburg.

PCPS students, alumni, and even faculty are a part of the group that will present “Mary Poppins The Broadway Musical” August 11-17 in the Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre at the Moss Arts Center in Blacksburg.

Current PCPS students involved include Ella Davis, Jonah Morgan, Zariah Ratcliffe, Elijah Shomaker, Jordan English, Qyle English, Liam English, and Elana English in acting or supporting roles. Evan Stoots is performing in the orchestra.

Former PCPS students Zoe Keith, Gwendolyn Arnold, James Johnson, Alex Richardson, Hailey Barnson, Christopher Phillips, Meagan Cox, Jada Honaker, McKenna Bruno, Cole Bishop, and Madison Davis Reed are also involved in the production.

Former PCHS Theatre Arts instructor Jeff McCoy is the director of the show. Current PCHS Band Director Kevin Faller is the musical director and conductor for the show.

“We've been rehearsing all summer to prepare to put the production on,” Mr. Faller said. “PCPS students and alumni are working hard to represent and do great things!”
