Last week, the Pulaski County Middle School Competition Cheer squad made a bit of history. Not only did the newly formed program travel to Brookville to compete in their first meet ever, but they brought home a convincing win. Fast forward one week, and the 14 young ladies and their coaches have once again earned recognition, this time at the Big Orange Cheer Invitational, hosted by and at Heritage High School.
This week, in their second competition ever, the group again took first-place honors in the middle school nonrestricted division with a score of 150.25 points. Sandusky Middle School finished second with 120.25 points. Brookville Middle School took third with 108.25 points.
Out of 11 total teams, counting middle school and high school teams, Pulaski County Middle School finished with the fourth highest overall score. This is also the second week in a row the team has accomplished that feat.
The team, pictured here, will return to action later in the month when they travel to William Byrd.
